Silent Auction

Bacon Valentine Auction was a Huge Success.  We would like to take this opportunity to thank the numerous volunteers who donated countless hours planning and organizing the first-ever Bacon Valentine Auction, an event that we hope will become an annual tradition for our school.  The event was a huge success thanks to the time, treasure, and talent of so many people.  Over 150 local businesses and Bacon supporters donated a record $16,973 worth of goods and services and we raised a total of $7,785 for our school.  These funds will help pay for our after-school enrichment activities, reading materials, assembly programs, supplemental classroom materials, and classroom field trips.  We would also like to extend a special thank you to Principal Joe Horky and our fabulous Teachers and Staff at Bacon for helping to make this a successful event.  Additionally, we would like to thank former Principal Bill Smith for donating his time to entertain us and to Senator Bob Bacon for joining us and inspiring us all over again.  Everyone on the Auction Committee did an amazing job planning and organizing the event.  As with any all-volunteer event, there is always room for improvement and we welcome your ideas and suggestions for next year as well as your willingness to volunteer to help as it takes a large group of dedicated people to plan and organize and event of this size.  Please consider volunteering next year.  Additionally, we would like to thank all of the Bacon Families who attended the auction and generously opened their purses and wallets in support of Bacon.  And finally, please help us to thank the local businesses and Bacon supporters listed below for their generous donations.  Please patronize them with your business and thank them for supporting our school and our children.  Thanks again!  Debbi Wright and Holly Hevelone
